A castle at the banks of the Rhône

Tarascon became famous by the character of Alphonse Daude and rises with its castle above the banks of the Rhône. This vessel of stone from the beginning of the 15th century used to be the residence of king René d’Anjou and has been perfectly preserved since the Middle Ages. The Sainte-Marthe collegiate is visited by pilgrims every year.
