Pont du Gard

Biggest Roman aqueduct

This impressive construction was built during the 1st century, and is one of the most spectacular remains from Roman Antiquity. The bridge counts 3 levels and is 40 metres high. The bridge’s arcades rise above the emerald green waters of the Gardon river. Various light and sound shows are organised here during the summer.
