Town of art

On the extreme end of the Vaucluse plateau, this village dominates the plain of Cavaillon, where the sun shines on the golden stones of the fronts. The village is built in terraces, at the foot of the Renaissance castle, and has cobblestoned streets. Gordes became famous thanks to various artists like Marc Chagall, Victor Vasarely and Pol Mara.
